It refers to sleeplessness. Nowadays it is a common complaint. Busy top executives, cinema stars, news-reporters, foot-ball players, administrators etc are habituated to take sleeping pills before retiring to bed in order to induce sound and quick sleep. Everyone has occasional sleepless nights, usually after a certain worrisome day. Occasional loss of sleep will not have harmful effects. The main causes of insomnia are excessive fatigue, too heavy and rich evening meal, coffee, tea and other cerebral stimulants taken late at night, too hot bed-rooms, too-noisy rooms, fear and worry, sleeping during the day time etc. Anxiety, certainly is one of the great enemies of sleep.
The treatments are relaxation of mind and body before sleep, driving off anxieties and worries.
Gems are nothing but medicines in disguise. It is said that certain gems have wonderful and miraculous healing powers. The brain-nerves are treated as controller of human body. Our body is required to be cooled down. The parts of the body which causes insomnia are brain-nerves, lungs, heart, liver and stomach. If these parts are in order, one may have sound sleep.
What is essential here is to calm down or to cool down the body heat by using only cold stones. The usual cold stones are Emerald, Moonstone, Yellow Sapphire, White Pearl and these stones represent the planets Mercury, the Moon, Jupiter and the Moon respectively.

The prescription of gems for insomnia will be as under:

1. Emerald in 6 rattis on middle finger plus Yellow Sapphire in 5 rattis, on third finger and White Pearl in 5 or 6 rattis on fore-finger.

2. Moonstone in 6 Rattis, on middle finger.

3. White Pearl in 10/12 rattis.

4. Emerald in 6 Rattis.

5. The chief mental rulers are the Moon, Saturn & Mercury. The gems for these three planets are necessary for curing insomnia.

Any one  of these may induce quick and sound sleep. This will certainly give permanent relief to the victim. A simple steel ring if used in the middle finger at night may give quick and sound sleep. The bed sheets, bed-cover window-screens, wall-paintings should be of green and blue colours. These two colours have powers to give you quick and undisturbed sleep.
