Under ground water tank
The Underground Water tank is connected to pipe line through which water is supplied to the homes. Hence, this tank needs to be close to the road as the water lines run along the road. The tank should be located in the North-East corner. The water tank should not touch the compound walls or the building walls. It should be a separate structure and should be kept a little away from the compound the building walls, to prevent any kind of dampness from seeping up the walls.

Basement
Basement is constructed for multi purpose usage. It is governed by solar energy. It is used as playroom, storage centre, exercise room etc. Basement should never be used as living areas but as long as it is not used for sleeping, it should be ignored. It is preferable to have only part-basement and that too, only in the North-East or East of the house. Avoid basements in the South, South-East or West side. At least one-fourth of the Basement should be above ground. Any heavy equipment should be located in the South and West parts of the Basement. The height of the Basement walls should be at least 9 feet.

Plantation
Peepal tree should be planted in the East direction of the house, gular in Southern direction, Banyan in West, and Pakar in South direction are considered auspicious. In contrast to this Banyan in East direction, Pakar in South, Peepal in West and Gular in Northern direction are prohibited. No tree is permitted just in front of the house. The classics were of the belief that no big tree should be planted in the house. The thorny plants gives negative energy hence they should be avoided. The negative energy is the cause of family disturbances. Basil could be planted either at the entrance of the house or at the back of the house.
