The Ascendant (Lagna) or Rising sign at birth and its lord (the ruling
planet) are sufficient to enable the Astrologers to give some of the
predictions about the native. As is known and accepted by all that the First
house (ascendant or Lagna) becomes the starting point for giving predictions
about the native. First of the rising degree of the Lagna would indicate the
strength of the native. I need not say here that the whole Zodiac is divided
in 360 degrees constituting the 12 sings of the horoscope and each sign gets
scientifically 30 degrees. It is one of the settled rules of Astrology that
the Lagans rising at the initial degrees say upto upto 3 degrees 20 minutes
are considered weak and also the Lagans with last degrees that is between
26.40 degrees to 30.00 degrees unless the Lagna unless the Lagna get support
from Lagna lord and other planets. In Zodiac, the first rising sign is Aries
ruled by Mars but the Sun gets exalted in this sign at 10 degrees under
Ketu's Nakshtra Aswini. Unless there are bad malefic planets, the native
born with exalted Lagna is bound to get high position/authority including
that of Minister etc. Lagna becomes the pivot in every horoscope-whether it
is the horoscope of the individual, or of the nation or an organization of
the individual, or of the nation or and organization or be it chart for the
purpose of Horary Astrology. This apart, even in Mundans Astrology, the
Solar and Lunar ingress charts cannot be ignored to find the events
regarding national and international matters. In general, the Lagna stand
for 'self' i.e. body so far the individual is concerned but under Mundane
astrology, Lagna, inter-alia, indicates the ability of the people to rise to
the occasion, adventures of the nation or of the people. Face, fame,
financial aspects (both from Janama Lagna, Chandra Lagna and at times from
Surya Lagna), height, weight, shape etc. can be seen from the Lagna and
Lagna Lord. With regard to hair, it has been seen that' baldness' (full or
partial) can be determined by a look at the native and it has been seen that
for baldies, Saturn has a role i.e. either in Lagna or aspecting the Lagna.
These few points lend support to the scientific validity of Lagna.

*HARD FACTS IN ASTROLOGY*
This horoscope belong to a Male (DOB 28.01.1967 – TOB 16.50 Hours) with
Cancers Lagna and having Jupiter in Lagna (exalted). All (then a bi-monthly
journal) with regard to 'longevity' apart from other events of life. The
native was murdered on 52nd day of his marriage. On investigations, it was
learnt by the police that the wife and her paramour were party to the
murder. Astrologically, it would suffice to say that Retrograde Jupiter
would also give results of the 12th house (inauspicious houses), Retrograde
Jupiter becomes 12th to the Moon, it has no strength degree-wise (4.58),
Saturn was aspecting the sign of Jupiter was also aspected by Combust
Mercurry and malefic Sun from the 7th houses. For deciding the longevity,
Lagna, Lagna Lord, 2nd house, 2nd Lord and 8th house with 8th lord cannot be
ignored. Saturn – the planet of longevity has also to be considered Lagna
was rising at feeble degree at 1.11 degrees. Ending the life of the native
on 03.12.1994. Different version is available for the Venus in 8th house
with regard to comforts of life and longevity itself. Be that as it may, the
native has to die unnatural death i.e. he was murdered specially when it was
later found that among others, the newly wedded wife was also behind the
show.

weak, the native born with Sun in Aries is bound to get the high-powered
authority including that of the king with name and fame as the Sun himself
becomes the representative of all nobility and royalty. It may not be
possible of other planets in exaltation but in order to lend support to the
scientific validity of Astrology, it would suffice to say that the following

*WELL LAID DOWN AND TESTED PRINCIPLES OF ASTROLOGY*
We have innumerable yoga, combinations principles etc. for all matters and
most of them work in the present-day also though these principles were
coined in the ancient time. In the books, reference comes tc acquision of
elephants/horses etc. but they have to be applied to the modern times and we
will say that the native may have a big car and even an aero plane etc. in
view of the limited space, only few of the principle are mentioned below:
1) Intuitive Power- Jupiter in the 5th or 9th house from Lagna
(Ascendant) confers high intuitive powers if the native, in addition,
becomes the worshipper of Lord Shiva and also recite His Mantras. Jupiter in
Lagna itself may also do some help.
2) Profession – The Sun and The Moon in opposition i.e. the Sun in the
Xth house and are capable of causing professional changes (change in
authority etc. once in seven years).
3) Marriage and married life –
I. Disappointment in married lie is
indicated when Venus joins Rahu/Ketu/Mars in Leo. Great misfortune is
indicated either on account of separation or death of spouse.
II. Retrograde planets in the 4th house
form Venus may create some pitfalls in married life.
III. The seventh Lord in Virgo may give a
defying wife.
IV. Venus in opposition to Mars say Venus in
the seventh house and Mars in Lagna, or vice-versa, will produce
far-reaching complications (including of character assassination) in marital
life.
4) Worries on account of children.
(i) If the fifth and eighth house are simultaneously occupied by powerful
malefic, there will be insurmountable difficulties/worries on account of
children.
(ii) A retrograde planet in fourth house from Jupiter will not give desired
happiness from children.
5) Unfortunate year – Jupiter's transit on Natal Rahu in Saggitarius or
Pisces will bring misfortune or disadvantage in that year. In 1996, the
Jupiter was in Saggitarius (both in Direct and Retrograde motion). Please
check placement of Rahu in birth chart and be careful.
