This intensifies the pride of Scorpio and gives strong inclinations towards self-indulgence, but with a great amount of patience, perseverance, and endurance. It is apt to give a rather hard nature, with great self-will fixed opinion and habit, somewhat combative and aggressive and alternating at times between extremes of rashness and caution, liberality, and thrift.
Supported by suitable planetary positions, it may give considerable business ability with great financial acuteness and prudence in investments or in buying and selling. Suitable occupations are soldier, engineer, worker in metals; or some official position may be held in some public body.
The harder qualities of the combination may be softened down
if there are beneficial aspects to the luminaries (Sun and Moon). Under bad
aspects the native may easily find himself at variance with brethren, the
family, and the public, or separated from the former. He has much practical
executive ability, and would make a good overseer or superintendent, or could
fill any position necessitating control of others.
There is ambition with great determination behind it, and
very high attainments are possible. The tendency of this combination, however,
is toward materialistic thought. It makes capital dramatic critics.
