Part 7

The Lagna is strong. It is in its own Navamsa. The lord of the Lagna is strong as it is conjoined by its dispositor. A strong Surya occupying its own house fully aspects the Lagna and further strengthens the Lagna. The Buddha fully aspects the Lagna. The Buddha rules a Trine and occupies a Kendra. The Buddha conjoins its dispositor. The Lagna, therefore, gains in strength by the full aspect of the Buddha. The Lagna is fully aspected by three planets including its lord. The Lagna has missed the complete Raja Yoga of very great significance by the absence of the full aspect of one more Planet.

The Lagna in the Navamsa chart also does not contain any Planet – Malefic or Benefic. It is fully aspected by its lord. Its ruler, however, is combust and rules the 12th house also. The Lagna has on one side a strong Guru in its own house and an exalted Shukra. The Ketu in the 2nd house along with the Guru and the Shukra – both strong – loses much of its Malefic nature.

The Lagna in the birth chart is very strong but the Lagna in the Navamsa chart is not very strong; it is only strong. The resultant conclusion is the Lagna on the whole is strong and not very strong.

The Chandra-lagna is owned by the Shani which owns Lagna also. The Chandra in the 12th house from the Lagna is in its enemy’s house, i.e., the house of the Sani and the Shani occupies the 8th house from the Chandra-lagna. The Shani, however, is in a Kendra from the Lagna and it rectifies the Dosha the Chandra has acquired by its being in its enemy’s house. Again the Shani, the lord of the Chandra-lagna, is conjoined by its dispositor. The Shani thereby and consequently the Chandra-lagna gain in strength.

The Chandra is waxing; the Chandra occupies its own Nakshatra.

We may conclude that the Chandra-lagna is normal in the birth chart.

In the Navamsa Chart the Chandra is in Mesha in the 3rd house from the Lagna. The Mangal, the lord of the Chandra-lagna, is in the 6th house from the Chandra-lagna. The Mangal, the lord of the Chandra-lagna, is fully aspected by two strong Benefics, i.e., the Guru and the Shukra. The Guru is in its own house and the Shukra is in its exaltation. Again the Chandra-lagna in the Navamsa chart is fully aspected by the Mangal, its lord. The Mangal conjoins the Rahu which is in 8th house is deemed free from a Dosha. The Chandra is waxing.

In the Navamsa chart we may conclude that the Chandra-lagna is strong.

The Surya, in the birth chart, occupies its own house. It is conjoined by the Shani, the lord of the Lagna and the Chandra-lagna. It is also conjoined by the Buddha which rules a Trine and occupies a Kendra. The Shani, however, rules the 12th house also and the Buddha owns the 8th house besides the 5th house.

The Surya is in the Navamsa of the Shukra which is a Yoga Karka, i.e., it rules a Trine and a Kendra. The Surya is in the Nakshatra of the Ketu which is strong both by the sign and the house. The Surya, however, is 8th from the Chandra.

The Surya, in the birth chart, is strong, we may conclude.

In the Navamsa chart the Surya rules the 7th house and occupies the 4th house. Thus the Surya both rules and occupies a Kendra. It is conjoined by the lord of the Lagna. The dispositor of the Surya, the Shukra, is a Yoga Karka. The Shukra is in its exaltation and it is conjoined by its dispositor, the Guru. The Shani conjoins the Surya and the Shani owns the 12th house. But the Shani fully aspects the Lagna which it owns and rules. The Shani also aspects two of the Uppachaya houses i.e. 6th & 10th which are deemed good and auspicious particularly when they are associated with the Lagna and the 4th house, a Kendra which contains the Shani. The Surya is associated both with the Shukra and the Shani and gains in strength consequently.
