Spata Rishi Nadi itself suggest that work had been complied by the seven sages and they are mentioned as under:

• Atri, Agastya, Jaimini, songinar, Narad, Vashist and Vishwamitra.

The word Nadi appears to have been used in the sense of Jyotish (astrology) and thus it is termed as an astrological treatise by the seven seers.’

It goes without saying that the readers must have some knowledge of astrology the divine science to understand about the principles.

A house that is conjoined or aspected by its own Lord and is at the same time, influenced by association or aspect by natural benefic planet (s), becomes highly conducive to the affairs denoted by that house. The Sun in Aquarius aspected the sign (own sign) Leo and if also aspected by Jupiter would become conducive for wealth and status of children though it may not be conducive for life prospects as being aspected by malefic.

A planet who is a lord of the sign occupied by a malefic planet acts as a natural malefic though the said planet may be a natural benefic. It is very important to consider whether a planet is lord of a sign occupied by any planet as the results-good or bad, shall be modified accordingly.

When a male planet is under the influence of two-more female planets by association/ aspect/ lordship etc. is assumes the role of a female planet. For example, the Jupiter if under influences of female planets can deny the male issue. This needs further verification from horoscopes with reference to modern times.

A natural benefic may not give the expected results if under the influence of malefics. Influence of Saturn, Rahu and Mars on the Moon is capable of giving painful Rheumatism to mother. (Rheumatism is mainly caused by Saturn and Rahu).

The horoscope need to be interpreted from three Lagnas i.e Ascendant (Lagna), the Moon (Chandra Kundli) and the Sun (Surya Kundli). Analyse and know the improvement, if any, in the three horoscopes.

Three or more malefic influences on any good benefic planet can turn that planet into a malefic planet/ man is known and influenced by the company he keeps.

Rahu and Ketu, shadowy planets, have full aspects i.e. 5^th, 7^th and 9^th though some say that Rahu has half aspect on 2^nd and 10^th house. These shadowy planets throw the influence of malefic or benefic planets on account of association/ aspects etc. for example, for Leo Lagan native, Rahu in 10^th house, Mars in 4^th or 10^th house is capable of giving good results of Raj-yogas as Mars is excellent for Leo Lagan natives.

According to Sage Prashara, the planets have 3/4^th influences also on certain houses – the planets throw 3/4^th influence on the houses 4^th and 8^th from them. The planet placed 10^th from another may have 3/4^th influence and is also termed as ‘Kendra influence’.

Mool trikona signs or positive signs of planets are very important. The Mool-trikona signs i.e. the Sun have Mool-trikona Leo, Moon-Taurus, Mars-Aries, Mercury-Virgo, Jupiter-Sagittarius, Venus-Libra and Saturn-Aquarius. The Prashara system also considers degrees of Mool-trikona signs.

Natural malefic Mars, Saturn and the Sun, located in 4^th, 5^th or 9^th house of a birth chart become considerably weak. For Leo Lagan persons if the Sun is in 4^th or 5^th or 9^th, it has only mediocre strength.

A planet in whose sign there is no planet would give its independent results but when the sign is occupied by a natural malefic planet, then it would give the results of planets occupying the sign-benefic or malefic. If in the case of Aries Lagan pesos, if Mars and Sun occupy the sign Pisces (12^th houses-sign owned by Jupiter), the Jupiter shall act as fire by virtue of lordship over its sign occupied by Mars and Sun-both fiery planets.

All problems faced by a human being are resolved by consideration of the house involved including Lagan, the Lord of the houses (s) and significations (Karakas) of the houses (s). father should be considered from 9^thth lord. Mother should be considered from 4^th house, its lord and the Moon. Elder brother(s) should be considered from the 11^th house, its lord and Jupiter. Younger brother should be considered by 3^rd house, its lord and Mars. Son should be considered from 5^th and 9^th house, their lords and Jupiter. Wife should b considered from 7^th house, its lord but with Jupiter. Maternal uncles should be considered from 6^th houses, its lord and Mercury. Comforts of life be considered from 4^th houses, its lord and Jupiter. house and the Sun and 9

SELF of the native be considered from Lagan, 3^rd, 10^th and 11^th house. Lagan (1^st houses) is a body as whole, 3^rd and the 11^th are arms/shoulders for actions including hands and 10^th being the house of Karma. All these houses and their lords involve action by self and for self including malefic and offensive action from committing suicide, murder, rape etc. Even love marriage involves action of both boy and girl.

Common influence of Saturn, Sun and Rahu is separation they are normally termed as separation planets. These planets depending on the house where posited have the capacity to get the native separated from family, parents, and at items inter-se separation between husband and wife-separation include both by consent, on account of certain circumstances- professional/ educational constraints and also permanent separation. It would suffice to say that if both Jupiter and Venus are under affliction along with 7^th house and 7^th lord, separation from the spouse become inevitable.

Mercury, when alone and uninfluenced by any other planet is strong and it becomes benefic or malefic depending on the aspect/ association of other planets.

The question of progeny should be examined with reference to Lords of 5^th house, 7^th and 9^th house along with planet Jupiter-giver of progeny. ‘Putra-dosha’is indicated by Rahu in 5^th house and if the 5thLord Sun in with females-Mercury and Venus, the son may not be born unless Jupiter give some ray of hope. Similarly, for considering position of father, consider 5^th house also along with 9^th house (principle of Bhavat Bhavam’ – 5^th to 5^th and 9^th to 9^th).
