FACTS AND MYTH
Blood red: Red lotus, brass, and gold are in the domain of Mars because of their reddish colouring.
Mind: Its real significator is the Moon.
Stone: Stones are hard substances, which come from the earth, and that is why they are said to be under the influence of Mars. Actually they are ruled by Saturn.
Carriage: Vehicles like cars are made of iron and steel and they run on petrol so there is an element of Mars here.
Land: Mars is believed to be the son of the earth and hence the connection.
Position in life: King. This is a myth as that is a subject under the Sun.
Behaviour: Bad behavior is generally considered a trait of Mars because it reduces a man to a lower status which is a property of Mars.
Burning sensations: This is due to the heat that is a natural constituent of the body of any individual ruled by Mars.
Pitha: It is the same reason as above.
Thieves: If Saturn is teamed up with Mars then this applies not otherwise.
Element: Courage like fire. In this day and age people can achieve anything by applying the use of firer carefully and intelligently.
Disease: Heat in the body produces many diseases and only Mantreshwar has explored which ones these are.
Virtues: It is not clear which virtues are being referred to.
Younger brothers: Though some writers say Mars exercises a beneficial influence on the younger brothers of those it rules, my own experience is that it is always detrimental to the brothers. In fact if Mars is in the Third or the Ninth house, the person’s younger brothers die.
Enemies: This is evidently in context of those who work in the police. Besides them, none of the others have problems of enemies.
Caste: Mars is traditionally viewed as Kshatriya or warrior planet. But it is undeniable that its presence can be seen in the horoscopes of Brahmins or Shudras as well. One will have to examine whether the planet is capable of temporarily shedding its own caste to take on the properties of another, for the duration that it spends in the horoscopes of those who are not from the warrior castes. One stanza on the subject goes: Lagnechaiva yada bhaumaha ashtame cha ravirbudhaha. Brahmaputro yadaa jaataha sa gachhenmlenchahha mandiram. If Mars is in the ascendant and the Sun in the Eighth House it will enter those houses where caste is not an issue like those of Muslims or Christians.
Place: House. This is in connection with land.
